Atlanta, June 30, 2003 – FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) has announced Atlanta, GA as the site for the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Robotics Championships. The competition will take place in the Georgia Dome, one of the premier sporting venues in the world, and the pit area will be in the adjacent Georgia World Congress Center, a world-class exhibition center. Also nearby, Centennial Olympic Park will provide open space for outdoor activities. Dates for the 2004 Championship in Atlanta are April 15-17.
